About This Album________________________________________________________

"Ghost-EP", is the debut release from Collin Beasley, (and his second album, "What Happened Saturday Night", released in December of 2017 is available on this site also!). From the dark EDM bass portrayed in "Ghost", to the soft pop percussion in "Other Than Me", Beasley covers a wide variety of genres that appeals to all ages.

"Ghost" is the opening track on the EP. Here Beasley speaks out about feeling under appreciated and ignored until the time comes when his presence is convenient. "It took a lot of courage and confidence to step away from people who treated me like the back up plan", he says. In the second verse of "Ghost", he writes, "I'm just a ghost. Can you believe you had it?"

Taking a gentle approach to insecurities and self doubt, "Other Than Me" paints an acrylic scene of a man feeling left out and misunderstood. "Hypothetically, you're in a situation where you have such strong attractions to a person who can't keep their head on straight. Short tempered and vengeful, they play with your emotions and only reach out when they feel you slipping away", says Collin.

Originally from Corinth, MS, Beasley has moved from place to place due to his father's active duty status in the United States Navy. Often feeling nostalgic when noticing old family photo's on shelves and off-white walls of overseas military housing, he reminisces about good times with family and friends. Written in Seattle, WA, "I Wanna Go Home", is the most pop inspired and the shortest track on the EP.

The first song completed in the studio was "Black and Blue." This song talks about the struggle to understand a person of interest's different point of view and ultimately feeling broken and bruised from constant trial and error. For this track, Beasley takes musical inspiration from Rihanna's "Needed Me".
